Actor Matt Dillon was arrested and released by Vermont police last night. The Rumble Fish star was pulled over for driving 41 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. He was doing 106 in a 65 mile per hour zone.

He was charged with excessive speeding and was released. He is due back in court next month.

After buying a ton of dresses, Paris Hilton took her BFF Brittany Flickinger to Bondi Beach in Sydney, where they walked on the sand in their little NYE dresses and yes, even stopped to pose for all the photogs about. It's going to take Brittany a while to get to Paris's level of posing, but she's doing her very best to catch up!

As usual, Paris drew a huge crowd and waved happily to everyone who stopped to stare. I was too busy staring at that clear purse she's carrying. Do my eyes deceive me, or is it full to the brim with cosmetics and not much else?
